Pimuri
Background
This spring (spring 2025) I got annoyed by needles from nearby trees on my front yard. First, I thought I could just remove them with a street brush. But very quickly I realized there's another solution to this problem.
The design
I designed Pimuri in a few weeks. That's why it's not a perfect design. I didn't design the garbage bag at all. I had the design of it only in my head.
The main design principle was that it has to be free to use. Therefore, there's a solar panel to charge up the battery.
The project
It took me a few months to build Pimuri. I'm not sure how long it took me exactly. But it clearly took longer than the designing phase.
After testing Pimuri for a short period of time I noticed several issues in its design. Some of them I solved on the go. But some of them still exist. So, maybe some day I'll design and build Pimuri 2.0.

End result
I'm a bit surprised how well Pimuri works. Therefore, I'm very happy with the end result. It's actually enjoyable to clean up my front yard out of needles from trees with this device. That's the most important thing in this project.
